Mrs. Hettie R. Talbert, 99, of Winston-Salem passed from this earth on June 18. An outgoing friendly woman who was loved by all, she remained an active member of her church, Hope Moravian, until her health no longer permitted her to attend. Born on May 9, 1913, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Herbert Talbert. Surviving are her devoted daughter, Patsy Haga, and three grandchildren, Marty Haga (wife Vickie), Lynn Haga, and Cindy Turner (husband Wilbur). Also surviving are six great- grandchildren, Amy Howell (husband Randall), Julie Snyder (and husband Camerson), Jennifer Dyson (Mike), Rebecca Hughes, Jessica Haga, and Caleb Turner; and eight great great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Leslie, Jonah, Gabriel, Caden, Mathias, Michael, and Carson. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday June 20, 2012 at Hope Moravian Church with Rev. David Merritt officiating.
