He was born October 31, 1963 in Aiken County, SC to Shelby Saye Roddy and the late Claude Buddy Roddy. He loved the Lord and his family, liked to play golf and listen to gospel music. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his two brothers; Carl Gene Roddy and David W. Roddy. In addition to his mother surviving are; his two sisters; Patricia Hemrick and husband Steve, and April Roddy Whitaker, one brother; Preston Neal Roddy, six nieces; Dreama, Kimberly, Kasey, Kelly, Valerie, and Brittany, four nephews, David Jr., Michael, Brandon, and Stephen, ten nieces and nephews; Payton, Logan, Ethan, Camden, Bryson, Austin, Anna, Chloe, Rachel, and Braelynn, and many special Aunts and Uncles. A Funeral Service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Dr. Don Anderson. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday evening, July 13, 2012 at the funeral home and at all other times at the home of Patty and Steve Hemrick.
