Obituary:

KERNERSVILLE –Imogene Beeson McGee, 89, a loving mother to everyone especially her grandchildren whom she loved and adored, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born May 19, 1923 in Forsyth Co. to the late Raymond Franklin and Essie Stanley Beeson.

Imogene was a life time member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Oak Ridge.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer S. McGee; and three brothers, Albert, Garland, and Roger Beeson.

Surviving are her five children, Brenda Fuller and husband, Michael of TX, Pat Stewart and husband, Mike, Diane Maynard and husband, Tony, Richard McGee, Greg McGee and wife, Catherine all of Kernersville; three sisters, Shirley Terrell and Linda Thomas of Kernersville, Phyllis Trexler of Clemmons; three brothers, Howard Beeson and Stanley Beeson of Kernersville and Leon Beeson of Summerfield; ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.


A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Union Grove Baptist Church in Oak Ridge with Rev. Paul Dean, Rev. Neal Eller, and Dr. Brooks Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon – 12:45 P.M. at the church.
