Mrs. Laura Lee Sprinkle Weaver passed away Monday evening August 6, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on September 17, 1921 in Yadkin County to the late Columbus and Mary Shore Sprinkle. Laura was a devoted wife and enjoyed living the simple life. She was a professional homemaker, where she loved cooking and gardening. Laura’s pinto beans were claimed by her family to be the best in the world and possibly untouchable to duplicate. She is preceded in death by her husband Earnest G. Weaver; son Grady Wayne Weaver and Infant son; sister Hattie Gough; and brother John Sprinkle. Laura is survived by daughter in law Beth B. Weaver; grandson Brent Weaver and wife Sherry; granddaughter Shannon Joyce; great grandchildren Lauren Weaver, Andrew Weaver, Morgan Weaver, Zach Joyce, Corey Joyce and Kayla Joyce; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with the Rev. G. Thomas Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to give a special thanks to the entire staff at Mallard Ridge and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for their tremendous care of Laura Weaver.
