KERNERSVILLE – Roy Hassell Freeman, 72, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born July 25, 1940 in Forsyth Co. to the late Stanley and Maggie Goode Freeman.

Mr. Freeman was of the Baptist faith and retired as a security officer from Bud’s Services.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Pauline, Betty Jean, and May Sue.

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Barbara Freeman of the home; five children, Lisa Robin Crabtree and husband, Ronald of Winston Salem, Arthur Scott Freeman of Kings Mountain, Terry Dale Freeman and wife, Jennifer of Winston Salem, Mark Anthony Freeman and wife, Mandy of Walkertown and April Freeman Patterson and husband, Darrell of Dobson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Carol Hicks and Louise Stanley both of Walkertown.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the funeral home.
