Name: Bonnie McCulloh Helsabeck Dates: Birth date: March 29, 1926 Death date: June 23, 2012 Obituary: Mrs. Bonnie McCulloh Helsabeck, 86, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born March 29, 1926 in Davie County to the late George Washington and Harriet Jones McCulloh. She retired from AT&T with 38 years of service. Mrs. Helsabeck was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the East Davie Homemakers and the Telephone Pioneers. Preceding her in death was her husband, Joseph Augustus Helsabeck; daughter, Paulette L. Burton; four brothers and three sisters. Surviving is a son, G. C. Lankford (Linda) of Mocksville and daughter, Carolyn L. Smith (Danny) of Mocksville; four grandchildren, Debbie Singleton, Jeffrey Lankford (Angela), Ronald Foster (Lorri), and Denise Wright (Shane); nine great-grandchildren, Dawn Lowery (Patrick), Matthew Singleton, Taylor Lankford, Josh Lankford, Brandon Lankford, Peyton Foster, Jacob Foster, Kayla Brewer, and Delaney Phillips; also surviving is a sister-in-law, Hattie Mae McCulloh. A funeral service will be held 3:30 PM Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Rev. Barry Lemons officiating. She will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel and other times at the home of G.C. and Linda Lankford.
