Name: Pat Ruth Freeman Grubbs Dates: Birth date: July 19, 1920 Death date: July 13, 2012 Obituary: Mrs. Pat Ruth Freeman Grubbs, 91, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 19, 1920 in Forsyth County to Everette Flay Freeman, Sr. and Maude Ruth Edwards Freeman. Mrs. Grubbs was a member of Love’s United Methodist Church. She retired from Gant Oil Company with 30 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.W. Grubbs, Jr.; and two brothers. Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie Wright, and Donna Hutchens and husband Butch, all of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren, Sheri, Billy, Craig, Dana and Keri; and seven great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 14 at Love’s United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. The family would like to express their gratitude to Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation Center for all their compassionate help and care.
