Name: James Edward Dickerson Dates: Birth date: February 24, 1918 Death date: August 3, 2012 Obituary: James (Jim) Edward Dickerson, 94, of Clemmons, passed away August 3, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on February 24, 1918 in Forsyth County, one of twelve children, to the late Walter Gray and Laura Jane Trivette Dickerson. James was a graduate of Lewisville High School class of 1936. He served in the U.S. Army Corporal Battery C. 17th Field Artillery Battalion during World War II. James was a member of Friedberg Moravian Church and a lifelong musician and instrument maker. He worked for R.J. Reynolds for more than 35 years. James is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Ruth Reich Dickerson; daughter Deanna Mosher (Joseph) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; son Kenan Dickerson (Gwen) of Plano, TX; sister Pearl Edwards; and three grandchildren Marseille, Colin, and Danika Mosher. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday August 8, 2012 at Friedberg Moravian Church with Rev G. Thomas Shelton and Rev. James C. Newsome officiating. Burial will follow in Friedberg Moravian Church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
