Obituaries

Michael David Leek, 45, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at his home. He was born December 1, 1967 in Iredell County. Mr. Leek was a 1986 graduate of East Forsyth High School in Kernersville. He participated in the Gifted and Talented Program. He also attended NC State University. He was previously employed at Innovative Educational Services. He loved all types of sports, especially golf. Surviving are his parents, Lewis and Jessica Leek of Fancy Gap, VA; three brothers, Jeffrey Leek of West Jefferson, Anthony Leek of North Wilkesboro, and Jay Smith of Morrisville. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, August 10 at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Sparta, NC with the Rev. John Leek officiating. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Friday prior to the graveside service. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
