Mr. Gary Gray Settle, 68, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Settle was born on June 22, 1944 in Camden, N.J. to the late Bynum Ulysses and Frances Lawson Settle. Mr. Settle served his country in the United States Army. He was a self-employed contractor and could always be counted on when something needed to be fixed. Preceding Mr. Settle in death along with his parents is his wife, Margaret Settle. Surviving Mr. Settle are two sons, Dwayne Settle (Lisa) of Walnut Cove, NC and Dallas Settle (Beverly) of Walnut Cove, NC; a daughter, Yvonne Jordan (Bruce) of Lexington, NC; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Hendrix of Clemmons, NC and Shelby Ellis of Winston-Salem; one brother, Jim Settle of Winston-Salem and a nephew, Randy Settle of Walnut Cove, NC. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. G. Thomas Shelton officiating.
