Thomas Walter Slater, 79, of Cosby, TN, formerly of Winston-Salem passed away at his home Saturday August 18, 2012. He is survived by his wife Mozelle P. Slater of Jefferson City, TN; his children, Ray Slater (Kathy) of Morristown, TN, Lora Goins (Ricky) of Winston-Salem, Thomas, Jr. (Teresa) of Mocksville; grandchildren, Amanda (Casey) Vestal of Clemmons, Allyson (Zachary) Medlin of Winston-Salem, Joshua Slater of Mocksville; great grandchildren, Dillon, Jake, and Anna Vestal, and extended family. Mr. Slater owned Thomas W. Slater Construction Company for over 30 years. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Elm Grove United Methodist Church, 7240 Reynolda Road, Pfafftown and at other times at the daughter's residence.
