I met Herbert while he was visiting someone in the hospital, in my opinion I was in the right place at the right time because I got to meet one of the sweetest men I have ever had the privilege of crossing paths with. His spirit touched me then and I believe it will continue to for a long time. I know one thing for certain, we need more men to be like Mr Herbert Cole in this world!! Rest easy my dear friend...

To The Cole Family:
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one, please accept my condolences. Losing a loved one is such a painful experience and as much as it hurts please be assured of God's love and the promises given us of a future filled with peace. Soon we are promised a future that can bring us comfort now for our loved ones. When the time is right please look into Revelation 21:4; John 5:28,29; Psalm 37:9-11,29. We hold these promises close to our hearts because we know God can do all things but he "cannot lie." (Titus 1:2) It is my hope your family finds comfort that will sustain you in the days ahead.

I met Mr. Cole when he visited his son Bill several years ago. Bill and Brenda Cole have been our long time neighbors and good friends in Hampton. Mr. Cole built a "train table" for my grandson Hayden several years ago and it continues to be enjoyed by the now 5th grader. We always delighted in Bill's accounts of how active and involved his Dad was with community, church, and family as he maintained his stamina and activities as he gracefully aged. We celebrate his long, productive life of sharing and giving to all those who shared his journey.

We count it one of God's richest blessings that our path was made to cross with Brother Cole. His passing leaves a vacuum. His memory leaves a smile. "We thank God for every remembrance of you."

To the Cole Family, I remember your dad when we all went to New Bethel Baptist Church many years ago. As I little girl, I always remember him with a smile. My mama went to be with Jesus last May; now they are with HIM and wait for us. May God bless each of you and give you the peace that can only come from Him.

Daddy, You were the best. I will miss you so much. There will never be another like you. 95 years but still gone too soon for me, I will remember your smile and encouragement. You always told me when I was down to trust in the Lord. It was somehow easier to do after you talked to me. Maybe it was the prayers that you prayed for me when I needed them. I will love you always and miss you until I join you and Mama again where you are with Jesus.

Our greatest joy at Lake Country Baptist Church was fellowship with brother Cole. He was a true "saint" of the Lord, he will be missed. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of one of His saints." May the Lord Richly bless and comfort his family.

My condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. When someone we love falls asleep in death, time seems to standstill. We have only fond memories or pictures to keep them alive in our mind & heart. Only Through prayer and reading God's inspired word, can we find the needed comfort. - 2 Corinthians 1:3,4
God truly understands, for He loss first. - John 3:16
God does promise all of mankind a resurrection hope. - Acts 24:15; we know God can do all things besides lie. - Titus 1:1,2
