  • Can we have a viewing/visitation with the body present if we are going to
       choose cremation?
      

       Yes, all services offered to families choosing burial, are also offered to those
       
    choosing cremation.  The only difference in the two, is the choice of disposition. 
     
  • How long does the cremation process last?

       Approximately four hours.
     
  • Can more than one cremation take place at the same time in the same retort?

        No. According to the NC General Statute 90-210.129, the simultaneous cremation of the human      
        remains of more than one person within the same cremation chamber is forbidden.
     
  • Can we view the cremation?

       Yes.  At Hayworth-Miller, we have a separate viewing area where families can view  
       the cremation.  
     
  •  Is cremation less expensive than burial?

        In most cases, yes, because of the cemetery and vault charges.  But the same 
        services are offered to both burial and cremation.
