Obituary:
Ms. Pamela Anne Beamon, 62, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 7, 2012. Ms. Beamon was born on February 15, 1950 in Forsyth County to Albert I. Beamon, Sr. and Annie Mecum Beamon. She attended Unity Church of Winston-Salem where she was active in many events; Ms. Beamon was a charter member of Konnoak Hills United Methodist Church. She was an avid dancer and taught multitudes of young dancers for greater than 40 years. Preceding her in death were her father, Albert I. Beamon, Sr. and a nephew, Jason N. Beamon. Surviving Ms. Beamon are her mother, Annie M. Beamon of Winston-Salem; her daughter, Anna Gray Smith of Winston-Salem; a brother, Albert I. Beamon, Jr. (Sherry) of Huntersville, NC; a sister, Robin Dotson (Eddy) of Advance, NC; numerous nieces and nephews and a beloved pet, Sara June Beamon-Smith. A private graveside service will be held at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends starting at 4:00 PM on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at The Nissen Building, 310 West 4th St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to The American Lung Association in North Carolina, 514 Daniels St., #109, Raleigh, NC 27605.
