Name: Charles Junior Reed Dates: Birth date: December 24, 1924 Death date: July 12, 2012 Obituary: Mr. Charles Junior Reed, 87 of Winston-Salem passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born December 24, 1924 to Charles McKinley and Emma Jane Idol Reed. Mr. Reed was a member of the Church of Christ. He was retired from Bahnson Company after 38 years of service. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Hoy Edmond Reed and a sister, Mary Clarice Vogler. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Nettie Mae Conrad Reed, a daughter, Jeani Smith (George) and a son, McKinley C. (Ken) Reed (Lisa). A Graveside Service will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Boyer’s Chapel Church of Christ 798 S. Peace Haven Road officiated by Mr. Mike Shoaf. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to Boyer’s Chapel Church of Christ, 798 S. Peace Haven Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the Reed Family.
