Name: David McLendon Ward Dates: Birth date: January 8, 1932 Death date: July 21, 2012 Obituary: WARD – WINSTON-SALEM Mr. David McLendon Ward passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 at his home. He was born January 8, 1932 in Forsyth County to the late Chester Gideon Ward and Bessie Faye Stoker Ward. Mr. Ward proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He also worked for Logan Heating and Air Conditioning for many years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ward was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Surviving are his brother, Wade Ward (Peggy); and sister, Bonnie Barnes. A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2012 at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall with the Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 290 of King. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
