WINSTON SALEM - Mrs. Sadie Robeson Sexton, 84, went home to be with her heavenly Father, Monday, August 13, 2012. Sadie was born October 24, 1927 in Marlboro County, SC to the late Jimmy and Martha Quick Robeson. She was a strong, hard working, Christian woman, who was devoted to her family and loved everyone she met.

In addition to her parents, Sadie was preceded in death by two daughters, Mable and Martha Locklear; and one sister, Ollie Bryant.

Surviving are her husband, John Sexton; three sons, Thomas Locklear, Burnice 'Buddy' Junior Locklear (Jean) and Bobby Locklear (Joyce); two daughters, Barbara Gatlin (Ronnie) and Frances Hamilton (Pender); 31 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; one brother, LC Robeson; and one sister, Ada Robeson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 17, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Clayton Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 6 - 9 PM Thursday, August 16, at the funeral home.
