Mrs. Patsy Carroll James passed away Friday, August 17, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Patsy was born August 15, 1933 to Ross N. Carroll and Treva Williams Carroll in Forsyth County. She was a member of Forsyth Friends Meeting. She graduated from the nursing program at City Hospital in 1954. Patsy lived many years bravely battling MS. She enjoyed relationships with her phone friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Charles James, Sr. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Chuck James; sister, Nancy Hopkins; and niece, Anne Letsky. A graveside memorial service will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Forsyth Memorial Park with Dr. Steve Wood officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forsyth Friends Meeting, 800 Jonestown Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27103; or National MS Society, Central NC Chapter, 2211 W.
