Mike and family
I am so sorry to hear of Ellen's home-going. I think of Aunt Jane often, and Uncle Ned. I just looked at a pic of Dad & Uncle Ned this morning in fact. I am sorry our families have drifted apart as time has gone by. We still love you all and think of you often. Love to all.

I'm truly saddened to hear of Ellen's death. I've known Ellen a long time and always enjoyed working with her on projects through the NC Association of Occupational Health Nurses. Her smile, welcoming demeanor, and ability to listen will always be remembered. May you find strength through the love and comfort of family and friends.

My heart mourns along with so many others that Ellen touched. She has always been a staple of our work environment and like a mother to so many of us. We will miss her sooo much. Her comforting care and affection and her light and friendly spirit were so beautifully adorned by an unforgettable smile. May the Lord give your family strength and peace. Ellen is with Jesus, but her legacy lives on in our hearts and minds. We all love you, 'Nurse Ellen.'

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the Scott family in this time of bereavement. I will sorely miss Ellen because of her loving & caring attitude. It was this attitude that made a visit to the nurse's station here at Ashland in Greensboro, NC the utmost pleasure.
With warmest regards,

I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. I did not have the opportunity to meet Ms. Scott in person but did have the pleasure to speak with her on several occasions by phone. She was so kind and caring. I know she will be truly missed by so many. She was taking care of people while she herself was sick - a true Angel now resting in Gods arms. It is rare you can speak with someone several times by phone and feel like you know them - because they are such a wonderful person - that is "Ms. Scott. Our sympathy to the family - she will be truly missed.

How can I add to what's already been ssid about our dear, sweet Ellen? She was a friend to all, loved her family, especially her grandkids. We were both so proud of our grandkids and their accomplishments. We shared many pictures over the years. It was fortunate that we'd been able to have dinner together recently as we had done many times during the last 15 years after we both left Ruff Hewn. I know now that I should have held that goodbye hug a little longer. As in the past I've found that you don't know when you'll see someone for the last time. To Bubba and family, my heart breaks for your loss but the world had a "one of a kind" for 64 glorious years!

To Ellen's family I send my deepest condolences. My mother, Dorothy Dutton, and Ellen's mother Jane were very good friends. When I visited in Southern Pines I always saw Jane and her sister Stella. I learned through them what a special and loving person Ellen was and she did a lot for her mother and aunt. When my mother died Ellen was one of the first to offer her condolences. I know she will be missed.

Dear Mike and family: I'm having a difficult time trying to wrap my mind around the fact that this wonderful human being is no longer with us. She was the sweetest, dearest, most compassionate of souls and a very smart lady, indeed! She had a backbone and wit about her that was necessary to keep you guys in line. It's apparent they adored her at work too. She was a treasure to us all and we'll miss her, but we're so enriched by having known her.

Ellen was our "Mother" here at Evonik and our personal friend. Our hearts hurt for you and your family. I know she is "home" now - her faith was strong, like her. She was one-of-a-kind. I enjoyed our lunches and dinners with "the girls" at work....there will be an empty seat now at our table.
May God give you a peace beyond understanding and comfort you in the days that lie ahead. I feel truly blessed to have worked with her for the last 11 years - my life is richer because of her.
God bless.

I feel blessed to have known and worked with Ellen for the last 11 years. The first medication she always provided was a hug and shoulder to lean on, which is often all we needed. I can't imagine Stockhausen without her, she cannot be replaced. My prayers for peace and comfort go up for all of her family. Thank you for sharing her with us.

I am incredibly shocked and saddened by the news of Ellen's passing. My thoughts and wishes are with her family. It was indeed my idea to install a nurse’s station on the site and personally interviewed and hired Ellen for the job. She was great! Always cheerful, always willing to help, always friendly and a true professional. She was the only person on site who could tell strong, grown-up and sometimes loud plant operators, visiting her nurses station, to "Sit down, shut up and don't act like a baby". I have not met Ellen since I left my position as Stockhausen President some 9 years ago but will always remember her from when I did my "Exit Interview" with her. "Look after yourself, young man" she said to me with her lovely smile. Now someone great is looking after her. I am sure she is happy now.

My condolences go out to the entire Scott family on the death of Ellen. She was a wonderful and caring person who will be truly missed at Evonik Stockhausen. She touched so many lives both here at work and in the community. From a personal standpoint I owe her so much as she helped me in my battle with epilepsy. It has been a true honor and privlege to work with Ellen. I will so miss her fussing at each of us in her loving and gentle way. My prayers go out to everyone who has been touched by this beautiful lady.

It is with the greatest of sorrow that I learn of Ellen being called home. I can only imagine how much Mike, Nancy and her entire family will miss her. I still have not been able to digest the fact that this sweet earth angel is now a heavenly angel. I loved her and found her kindness and caring to be one of a kind. Mike, I will see you Tuesday evening with Penny and Nyla.
All My Love and prayers are with you,

To The Scott Family:
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one, please accept my condolences during this difficult time. Losing a loved one is very painful. As much as it hurts and when the time is right, please look into the promises outlined by God that bring us hope and comfort. They can be found at Revelation 21:4; John 5:28,29; Psalm 37:9-11,29. We hold these promises close to our hearts because we know God can do all things but he "cannot lie." (Titus 1:2) It is my hope your family finds comfort that will sustain you in the days ahead.
