The word funeral now encompasses an entirely different meaning than it did ten years ago. The gloomy depressing connotation is one in which we are striving hard to rid. A funeral/memorial service is a time to remember the loved one and all of the wonderful times they had in their life. It is a form of remembrance and closure for the living. We work hard to create an experience that will be remembered as one of great tribute and not hardship.

Traditional Funeral

The term traditional funeral normally refers to any disposition other than cremation, anatomical donation, or interstate/international arrangements. Traditional funerals normally encompass a visitation, the night prior or before or after the funeral service, a funeral service, and a committal following. There are variations to this including a graveside service rather than a church/chapel service or just a service with a private burial. Any of our funeral directors at Hayworth-Miller can help you or your family choose the best options to fit your needs.

Visitations

Visitations, or sometimes called family nights, are an opportunity for the community to express their condolences to the family. This in previous years meant the traditional walk around the family line, brief sympathetic comment and a quick glance of all of the beautiful flowers. Now the visitation night is one in which you may see memorabilia from the person’s home, pictures, and even a video tribute throughout the room.

Interstate & International Arrangements

Hayworth-Miller is more than happy to assist families in making arrangements for services and/or shipping arrangements throughout the United States as well as Internationally. Our funeral directors have the resources and knowledge to assist you with these arrangements to ensure your loved one is properly taken care of when the place of death and place of service or burial differs.
