Mr. David Allen Hayes, aka “Dave”, 46, of Clemmons departed this life over Easter weekend, 2012. He was at his favorite place…the lake. He was born June 24, 1966 to Ivan and Carol Hayes. He was employed with Rock Tenn Merchandising Displays in Winston-Salem. David’s two favorite sayings were “To thine own self be true” and “bite me”…depending on what the situation called for. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gina Hayes. Surviving are a son, Taylor Allen Kinder Hayes; a daughter, Heidi Marie Kinder Hayes, both of Mocksville; his former wife, Kelly Hayes Foster of Advance; his father, Ivan Hayes of Clemmons and mother, Carol J. Hayes of Winston-Salem; a sister, Tina Dodson of King; a niece Nichole Duncan, nephew, Matthew Punturi, great nephew, Travis Iian, a special aunt, Carol Capps and a special cousin, Stevie both of Clemmons; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is also survived by his brother and sister by choice, Chris and Kim Gregory and of Advance and his two Goddaughters, Krista and Carley Gregory. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel in Advance. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Linderman officiating. Burial will be at 2:00PM Monday, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
