Robert “Bob” Henry Guy, 76, passed away on May 20, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Bob was born on May 2, 1936 in Philadelphia, PA to Sevrance and Erma Guy. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Candace Bean, two brothers, Frank and Johnny Guy, and his beloved mother-in-law, Virginia Doherty. Bob leaves behind his loving wife, Lynn Guy; his children, Brenda Sarvis and Robert C. Guy both of Liberty, NC, Buddy (Lisa) Idol of Lexington, Bonnie (Carl) Dickerson of Council Bluffs, IA, and Donny Wall of Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren, David, April, Cyndy, Kelsi, Jessie, and Christopher, three great-grandchildren, a sister, Elyse (Bill) Murphy of FL. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Parklawn Memorial Park mausoleum chapel with Chaplain Randy Hillman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The Guy family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapist in the Emergency Department at Forsyth Medical Center for their care.
