WALKERTOWN – Franklin Monroe Harvey Sr., 71, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at his residence. Frank was born on December 17, 1940 in Raleigh Co, WV, to the late Wallace and Ethel Crawford Harvey, Sr. He was also a veteran of the US Navy. In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by a son Franklin Monroe Harvey, Jr. and two brothers, Wallace E. Harvey, Jr. and Lonnie Harvey. Surviving are his wife, Wanda Gayle Jones Harvey, of the home; two sons, Mark Harvey (Lori) of Walnut Cove and Matthew Harvey (Laura) of Chapin, SC; two grandchildren, Bruce and Destinie Harvey; three great-grandchildren, David, Jacob, and John Harvey; two step grandchildren, Aubrey Whitaker and Tony Howell; six sisters, Ona Wickline (Frank) of Greenville, WV, Betty Moore of Atlanta, GA, Drema Mishaw of Newberry SC, Sharon Cox (Robert) of Rockwell, NC, Judy Rawlings (Ernie) of Pax, WV, Norma LaRoque (Earl) of Saginaw, MI; and two brothers Mike Harvey (Cindy) and Dale Harvey (Carol) both of WV. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, May 4, 2012 at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum with Rev. Joe McWethy officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:30 pm Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Memorials may be made to Crisis Control Ministries, 431 W.
