Barry James Hall, 71, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Forsyth County to the late James Marshall Hall and Melba Grace Covington Hall. Barry was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Betty Baker Shelton and uncle, Robert Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rachel Shelton Hall; son, Bryan Hall; daughter, Denise Hall; three precious granddaughters, Madisyn, Maycie and Millye; brother, Bruce Hall and wife Carmel; sister, Emily Southern and husband Larry (niece, Melissa Lomax and husband Todd and their kids great-niece Kayla and great-nephew Tanner); father-in-law, Eugene Shelton; two brothers-in-law, Larry Shelton and wife Debbie (nephew, Matthew Shelton and wife Shannon, nephew, Joshua Shelton and wife Megan and niece, Jordan Edmonds and husband Andy) and Darrell Shelton and wife Susan (niece, Emma Shelton); special aunts, Peggy Smith and Allie Pruitt; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and furry companion, Little Bit. A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 noon on January 5, 2019 at the East Surry High School Gym. Visitation will immediately follow the service. A committal service will be conducted 4:00 p.m. at Pinnacle View Baptist Church Cemetery. An extended visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall at the conclusion of the committal service. At Coach Hall’s request, please dress casual, as if you’re attending a baseball game.
