On Monday, October 28th, 2019, Michael D. Wall, 60, passed away at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center after a 3-month battle with esophageal Cancer. Born June 9th,1959 to Jack D. Wall and Edna Brindle Wall, he was a native of Rural Hall, NC and was a member of the First Baptist Church there. He graduated from North Forsyth High School and worked in shipping and receiving at Young Phillips for 23 years. He most recently worked as a forklift operator at the Hanes Brands warehouse in Rural Hall. An avid gardener, he loved growing hot peppers and challenging family members to try his homemade salsas. He was a boy scout, passionate outdoorsman, and a football fanatic who never missed a Dallas Cowboys game. He had a great sense of humor and always had a joke to tell family and friends. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, sister Kim Ballard (Tim), nephews Brian (Ashley), Matthew (Kenny), and Andrew (Sarah), and by his great nephew Thomas. He will also be sadly missed by his fur baby Miss Kitty. His family would like to thank the dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff at the Derrick L. Davis Cancer Center, Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center’s emergency department, ICU, and palliative care unit. The family would also like to thank his dear friend, Sandy, who was his dedicated caregiver during his cancer battle.
