A. C. Myers, Jr.

A.C. Myers, Jr. joined his beloved wife of 55 years, Georgia, in Heaven on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. He leaves behind his children, Anthony (Tony) Myers and Melessa (Lesa) Johnston. In addition he leaves a loving family including daughter-in-law, Tamara Myers, grandsons, Justin Myers (Shawnise), Clayton Myers (Dana), granddaughter, Brittany Johnston, great-grandchildren, Evan, Madelyn, James, and Mackenzie; in-laws, Joe and Lucille Hill of Columbus, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends. His wisdom and sense of humor will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos (Lum) and Mable Myers, brothers, Robert (Bob) and Jones Myers, sister, Georgia Grimsley. Mr. Myers was a faithful member of Friedberg Moravian Church where he joyfully served God for 18 years. He worked for Greyhound Lines for 30 years and was a steward of Amalgamated Transit Union. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, May 24, 2013, at 11:00am at Friedberg Moravian Church with the Rev. James C. Newsome, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm at Friedberg Moravian Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Friedberg Moravian Church elevator fund, 2178 Friedberg Church Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27127.
