Abigail Sechrist

Kernersville- Mrs. Abigail "Abby" Chaney Sechrist, 65, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born October 28, 1952 in Surry County to Otis Dowd Chaney and Peggy Jean Puckett Beeson. Abby loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved spending time at Badin Lake. She loved to fish at the lake and the beach. She also loved music of all kinds, and watching movies. Abby is survived by her mother, Peggy Puckett Beeson; her husband, Arlin D. Sechrist; two sons, Arlin Dale Sechrist (wife, Barbara) of Mt. Airy and Timothy Wayne Sechrist (wife, Heather) of Kernersville; five grandchildren, Arlin Daniel Sechrist, Noah Wayne Sechrist, Allie Morgan Sechrist, Jonah Lee Sechrist, and Micah Lee Sechrist; and four brothers. A memorial service for Abby will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Oaklawn Baptist Church with Pastor Jay Boyce officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oaklawn Baptist Church at 3500 Kernersville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
