Adan "A.J." Briceno

Adan “A.J.” Briceno, 45, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by family.

Mr. Briceno was born April 19, 1981, in Forsyth County, to Bonifacio Briceno and Karen Tuttle Sult. He was an exceptional father, known for his great, sacrificial love for his children. Adan had an inspirational faith that was an encouragement to everyone around him. He was a beloved husband, son, father, and brother, and was greatly loved in return. Adan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jim Tuttle and Louise Tuttle; and his uncle, Raymond Tuttle.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melissa Carter Briceno; five children, Emanuel Briceno (Kylie), Isaiah Briceno (Madisyn), Hannah Briceno, Sariah Briceno, and Elijah Briceno; his father, Bonifacio Briceno; his mother, Karen Sult (Kenneth); one sister, Brittany Briceno; special uncle, Bobby Tuttle; and special aunt, Phyllis Tuttle. Also surviving are several other aunts and uncles, as well as numerous cousins.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller, Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Nathan Byerly officiating. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
