A.G. Parker

A.G. Parker, 88, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012. He was born August 9, 1923 in Nash County to the late Augustus and Annie Parker. Mr. Parker was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post 9010 in Clemmons and served as the State Chaplain for the the VFW for many years. A.G. was also a member of Yadkin Valley Baptist Church. Preceding him in death was his first wife, Georgia Parker. Surviving is his wife, Frances Parker; three daughters, Toni, Susan, and Paula; three step-children; also surviving are a host of grandchildren both great and small. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Yadkin Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Craddock officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
