Agatha Rogers O'Neal

WINSTON-SALEM-Ms. Agatha Jo Rogers O'Neal, 87, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Grayson Creek Assisted Living in Lexington, NC. Ms. O'Neal was born on February 1, 1927 in Arkansas to the late John Henry Rogers and Elsie Andrews Rogers. She was a member of Ardmore Baptist Church where she was a part of both the adult and senior adult choirs. Agatha retired from Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after 20 plus years of service. In addition to her parents, Ms. O'Neal was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Casey and a brother, Bill Rogers. Ms. O'Neal is survived by her daughter, Maria Strub and husband, Hank of Winston-Salem; one son, Steve O'Neal and wife, Maria of Winston-Salem; one grandson, Zachary O'Neal of Winston-Salem; a sister, Wanda Crouch of Forsyth, MO; one brother, Lester Dee Rogers of Hollister, MO; and her step-mother, Susie Rogers of Forsyth, MO. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, December 15, 2014 at Ardmore Baptist Church with Dr. Don Gordon, Rev. Ty Talton and Rev. Christa Warise officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
