Alene Lyalls Miller

Mrs. Alene Lyalls Miller, 83, of Winston-Salem, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at her home. She was born June 23, 1933 in West Jefferson, NC to Effie Mash Lyalls and Wiley Lyalls. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband John Miller and two grandchildren, Michael Miller, Jr. and Ricky Miller, Jr. Surviving are her daughter, Rita Miller Swicegood and husband, Kenneth Swicegood, Jr.; two sons, Mike Miller and Rick Miller; four grandchildren, Joanie Nazworth, Trey Swicegood and wife Krystal, Ryan Miller and Amy Cain and seven great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Gary Styers officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday before the service at the funeral home.
