Alexis was born on July 13, 2000, in Forsyth County, NC to John Regenthal and Angela Leonard. She graduated from Reagan High School.

Alexis was preceded in death by her mother, Angela Leonard; grandparents, Ronald and Mary Ann Leonard; and great-grandparents, Eleanore Regenthal and Raphnel Forest Staples, Sr.

Surviving family includes her father, John Regenthal; sisters, Grace Regenthal, Gabrielle Elizabeth, and Alissa Ray; brother, Tristan Kilby; grandparents, Ken and Lisa Regenthal; aunts and uncles, Kenny Regenthal, Gina Regenthal, Philip Regenthal, Karie Regenthal, Adam Regenthal, Katie Regenthal, Mallory Regenthal, William Regenthal, Andy Regenthal, Camryn Regenthal, Eleanore Regenthal, Jill Regenthal, Allen and Marcie Regenthal; and cousins, Jack Regenthal, Maddie Regenthal, Lonnie Regenthal, Christopher Regenthal, Harper Regenthal, Gigi Regenthal, Amelia Regenthal, Ada Regenthal, Ian Regenthal, David Regenthal, Lindsay Regenthal, Zach Easter, and Lauren Strickland.
