Alfred “Butch” Sims Locuson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on October 28, 1942, to the late Samuel Locuson Sr. and Mary Ellen Holmes Locuson. Butch was a member of Pittsgrove Baptist Church in Daretown, NJ, as well as a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Inverness, FL. He was an incredibly hard worker and took pride in his 27 years at Chemical Leaman Tank Lines. Butch was also a skilled carpenter, sharing his talents with family and friends. He served for seven years in the Army National Guard. He will be missed immensely by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five siblings, Corinne Rizzi, Charles Locuson, Jack Locuson, Billy Locuson, and Sam Locuson Jr.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Isabel Brooks Locuson; two children, Renee Locuson Loveland (Walt) of Belews Creek, Bryan Locuson (Lisa) of Elmer, NJ; a brother, Lynn Locuson of Groveland, FL; 5 grandchildren, W. David Loveland III, Allison Brooke Niece, Zachary Bryan Locuson, Victoria Lynn Helms, and Nicholas Michael Locuson; as well as 6 great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, there will be a memorial fund provided by Trinity Independent Baptist Church at 2840 E. Hayes St., Inverness, FL, 34453. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
