Alice Jean Harlow Caray

Mrs. Alice Jean Harlow Caray, 90, of Advance went home peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 11, 1927 in Daviess County, Missouri to Carl Jennings and Mildred Clara McMichael Harlow. She lived a long, full, happy life which included quilting, making baby blankets and afghans. Mrs. Caray was active and faithful in her church and loved the mountains and square dancing. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Leon Caray and two brothers, Robert and Sidney Harlow. Surviving are three children, Nancy Sue Mabe and husband Ed of Kansas City, MO, Patricia Lynn Green and husband Don of Advance and Danny Leon Caray and wife Edie of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren, Lana, Chris, Shane, Mike and Jason; nine great grandchildren and a sister, Judy Harris of Independence, MO. A memorial service will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday, May 26, 2017 at Farmington Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Brande officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Farmington Baptist Church 1835 Farmington Rd, Mocksville NC, 27028 or the National Kidney Foundation.
