Alice Marie Delancy

Alice Marie DeLancy peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 19, 2026. She was born September 2, 1947, in Raleigh, North Carolina, to the late Norman and Wanda DeLancy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece, Nan Grissinger. She is survived by her sisters, Megan (Gary) Carmichael, Lynda Grissinger, and brother, Jay (Kasey) DeLancy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her furr baby James Ryder.

Alice never met a stranger. She loved meeting and talking to new people and everyone she met was treated equally with grace and love. She always looked for an opportunity to help someone. She enjoyed real estate and successfully owned and operated Legacy Realty Group and AD Realty. She also worked for the Villager Voice Magazine as their top sales executive. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She received the precious gift of the Holy Spirit, and she loved to share her testimony. She was a devoted member of Hanes Baptist Church. She believed in the power of prayer and the strength of scripture, and she will be fondly remembered for her witnessing to others, her servant’s heart, and her unwavering devotion to her faith.

Visitation will be at 11:00 am with the homegoing immediately following at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Hanes Baptist Church, 4210 Sabrina Lake Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27127. Pastor Jason Holley will be officiating. Alice had a deep love for her church and church family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hanes Baptist Church.
