Alice Forshey Taylor

Alice Jean Forshey Taylor, 91, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Silas Creek Rehab Center. She was born on April 11, 1933, in Akron, OH to the late Harold David and Genevieve Pringle Forshey. Alice loved to spend her time gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved her family with all her heart. Alice was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, who will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William Harold Chapman; and a brother, Robert Forshey.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Wayne C. Chapman (Jane) of Kernersville, and Steven J. Taylor of Port Orchard, WA; three grandchildren, Leah A. Chapman (Kyle Wilson), Laurie C. Chapman (Dwight Blass), and Eliza Knasiak (Chris); four great grandchildren, June C. Blass, Olive A. Knasiak, Charlotte C. Knasiak, and Davis Blass.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm, Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family is very thankful for the wonderful care provided by Silas Creek Rehabilitation Center and by Trellis Supportive Care during her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care in Winston-Salem, NC.
