Alicia Dye

Danville – Mrs. Alicia Michelle Pope Dye, 43, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 2, 2023. She was born on August 4, 1979 in Rowan County, NC. She was a mother and homemaker who loved children and always had one in tow. She loved all animals; her constant companion was “Bones”, her service dog. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Jeffrey Wayne Pope, Sr. (Sandy) of Wilmington, NC and Chiquita Wilson Weavil (Brent) of Winston-Salem, NC; husband, Ernest LeeQue Dye; children, Christy ALexus Underwood (Jarell Simpson) and Robert Benjamin Underwood; her precious granddaughters, Jamiya Adrielle Underwood and Serenity Simpson; two brothers, Jeffrey Wayne Pope, Jr. of Stony Point. NC and Jeff Wayne Pope, Jr. of Salisbury, NC; and the father of her two children, Robert Vernon Underwood.

There will be private family services held for Alicia, but prayers are much appreciated. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an organization of your choosing to benefit children or animals. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
