Allen Walter Lentz

Allen Walter Lentz, 97, passed away at Vienna Village on July 29, 2026. Allen was born on July 24,1929, in Forsyth County. Allen graduated high school in Winston-Salem. He was a member of Center Grove Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Western Electric where he had been employed as a repair technician. Allen enjoyed sports and politics. He was a quiet gentleman and a good listener.

In addition to his beloved wife, Monteze East Lentz, Allen was preceded in death by his four siblings; and his good friend, John Anthony “Andy” Slater who was as a son to him. Surviving are his brother-in-law, John East (Gay); nephew, David East (Cindy); and good friends, Jeanette Slater and Michele Mankey (Joe). A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 3, 2026, at Forsyth Memorial Park with Rev. Ron Schuler officiating.
