Alonzo David Spaugh

Mr. Alonzo ""David"" Spaugh, 79, of Winston-Salem, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born March 1, 1936 in Surry County to Lena Miller Spaugh and Jacob Alonzo Spaugh. Mr. Spaugh retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years and later worked for Triangle Communications and retired with 19 years of service. He and his wife, Amparo Calzado Spaugh, who preceded him in death, were members of Holy Family Catholic Church. Surviving are two sons, John Spaugh (Connie) of Clemmons and Charles Spaugh (Debbie) of Kernersville; six grandchildren, Sadie, Raymond, McKenzie, Alexandra, Charlie and Blane and great grandson, Houston; two sisters, Becky and Nora. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Michael Buttner officiating. Entombment will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
