Mrs. Alvina “Midge” Ivanoff Schlotfeldt, 97, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019. She was born December 23, 1921 in Scott County, IA, to the late Chris and Marie Stoynoff Ivanoff. Mrs. Schlotfeldt was a member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, the American Business Women’s Association, and the Order of the Moose. She was a very giving lady that loved people.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Dewain Quentin Schlotfeldt; daughter, Sharleen Hayes; three sisters: Genny Gayman, Bessie Trumble, and Annabelle Ivanoff; and two brothers, Chris Ivanoff and Jimmy Ivanoff. Surviving are a son, Richard Schlotfeldt and wife Rhonda; a daughter, Vicki Jean Atwood; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a very special friend and caretaker, Linda Craven.
A funeral service will be conducted in her honor 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Haworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by Dr. Mark Key. Interment will follow the service at Gardens of Memory – Walkertown. The family will receive friends 12:45 PM – 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
