Anitra Michele Gordy

Mrs. Anitra Michele Gordy, 47, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Moses H. Cone Hospital in Greensboro. She was born in Forsyth Co. on January 17, 1976, the daughter of Dwight and Lucy Gordy. Anitra was a loving wife, daughter, sister and friend, who will be missed deeply by all who knew her. She loved animals, making crafts and spending time at the beach. Anitra was an employee of GXO in Greensboro for 23 years in the Human Resources Department. She is survived by her husband, Robert Boyers, II; a stepson, Robert Jordan Boyers; her parents, Dwight and Lucy Gordy; her sister, Misty Gordy; her niece and nephew, Lee and Lorali Matherne; and a great-nephew, Nalo Matherne-Clay. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall with her special uncle, Dennis Long officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 Tuesday evening August 15, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
