Mrs. Bettie Annie Jean Flinchum Boles, 83, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born on May 19, 1942, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Raleigh William Flinchum and Betty Ann Ashburn Flinchum. Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed deeply by all who knew her. She loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Freedom Baptist Church where she taught PreK at church school and worked in the school aftercare. Ann loved being a part of the Young at Heart group at the church. She loved the beach, and Christmas was her favorite time of the year. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Don Boles; a sister, Ruby Dobbins, and a brother, R.W. Flinchum, Jr. Ann is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl Boles and Donna Pardue (Greg); a son, Steven Boles; three grandchildren, Seth Whitaker (Jess Mathews), Ryan Pardue (Lauren) and Jonathan Pardue; and two great-grandchildren, Stella and Evelyn Pardue. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Betty Jean Flinchum; a brother-in-law, Bobby Boles; and a nephew, Billy Cleve Dobbins. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Freedom Baptist Church with Pastor Jon White, Pastor John Byerly and Pastor Clint Fredericks officiating. Burial will follow in King Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service at Freedom Baptist Church.
