Ann Hayes Whitley

        Mrs. Ann Hayes Whitley, 81, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away Friday, July 25, 2025 at her home. She was born November 11, 1943 in Davie County to James Alex Hayes and Martha Lanier Hayes. Ann was a faithful member of Yadkin Valley Baptist Church. She retired from K & W Cafeteria after 42 years of service. Ann was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved gardening and singing. Surviving are her four children, Teresa Smith (Steve), Jeff Smith (Lynn), Beth DeHart and Dawn Myers (Vince); eight grandchildren, Jeremy Smith (Courtney), Travis Smith (Heather), Bryson Smith (Laura), Tyler Wood, Marissa DeHart (Josh), Alex Wood, Logan DeHart (Julia) and Mary Beth DeHart; ten great grandchildren, Raimi, Cooper, Curtis Evan, Arley, Sydney, Daxton, Tucker, Adrianna, Daisy and Missy; two special family members, Donna Ottenbacher and Stefanie Gusinsky; her loving dog, Zoe and many other friends from her church and work that she loved dearly.

        A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Craddock officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A private graveside service will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church in Clemmons. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Centenary United Methodist Church Clemmons Graveyard Fund or Yadkin Valley Baptist Church, Advance.
