Anna Jean Mitchell

MITCHELL - RURAL HALL Mrs. Anna Jean Mitchell, best known by all who loved her as Nanny, completed her journey home with the Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2013. She was born on January 20, 1935 to the late Edward & Evelyn Sayers. In addition to her parents, Nanny was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Eugene Mitchell; two sons: David & Billy Mitchell; and a daughter, Vickie M. Holt. Nanny is survived by two children: Gary Michael Mitchell (Kathy) and Brenda Freeman (Jody); twelve grandchildren: Gina, Christy, Tina, Lt. Da, Josh, Jason, Joey, Matthew, Mary Ann, Shawn, Sherry, and Brandi; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Patrick Norris, Minister officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2013 at the funeral home.
