Mrs. Anne Reeves Sexton, 87, of Winston-Salem passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center Mrs. Sexton was born December 13, 1926 in Sparta, NC to the late Lon Mac and Madge Rector Reeves. She spent her childhood years in her hometown of Sparta, NC and graduated from the Secretarial Program at Greensboro Women's College, now UNC Greensboro. She was married to Howard S. Sexton in 1950 until his death in 2008. She has been a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church since 1950. Anne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who gave selflessly to others. Before raising three children, she worked as a secretary at Western Electric and later retired from Duncan Music Co. She served as a community volunteer in her church, the Scouting Program, March of Dimes, Red Cross, and the Public School System. She loved sewing, waterskiing, fishing, reading novels, playing games and dancing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard S. Sexton; a grandson, Dalton Reeves Folwell, two sisters; Emoryetta Collins, Linda Horton and two brothers; William and Tom Reeves. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses, Steve and Lena Sexton of Wilmington, NC, Synthia and Dale Folwell of Winston-Salem, NC, Martha Sexton Martin of Winston-Salem, grandchildren; Anna and Stephen Folwell, Bobby, Dylan and Ryan Martin, a sister Lois Landreth of Sparta, NC, brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Mary Sexton of Johnson City, NY and a number of nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday November 22, 2014 at Ardmore United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Lisa Tanico. The family will receive friends at the Church from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the service. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 3:30 pm Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Grassy Creek Community Cemetery, Grassy Creek, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Williams Adult Day Care Center, 231 Melrose Street, Winston-Salem, 27103 or to Ardmore United Methodist Church, 630 S.
