Anne Vandiver

Mrs. Anne Marie Cruywels Vandiver, 86, died on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Anne was born on November 15, 1930, in Liege, Belgium to Mathieu and Berthe Marechal Cruywels. Anne came to the United States when she was 18 and married Marvin Luther Vandiver. She obtained her associates degree in Business Administration from Forsyth Technical Community College and enjoyed cooking and traveling. She managed a K&S Newsstand and was a charter member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, where her mother Madam Cruywels was the librarian and kindergarten teacher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth O'Neal; and one brother, Pierre Cruywels. Surviving are one son, Michael Vandiver (Glenda); one daughter, Sandy Doub; and two grandchildren, Zachary O'Neal and Dustin Doub. A graveside service will be held at 3:30pm on Monday, October 30, 2017, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Father Carl Zdancewicz officiating.
