Annie Dowell

Mrs. Annie Myrtle Dowell, 79, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Trellis Supportive Care.  She was born May 11, 1939 in Wilkes County to the late Oscar Holcomb and Bertha Norman Holcomb. Mrs. Dowell was a loving wife and mother and was of the Baptist faith.  She was retired from Harris Teeter with many years of service.  Surviving are her loving husband of 49 years, Jack Edward Dowell; son, Eddie Dowell of Winston-Salem; one sister, Betty Holcomb of State Road; several nieces and nephews and a host of cousins.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Rev. Bill Ketner and Rev. Jerry Sizemore officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.  The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 PM Thursday prior to the service.
