Annie Hutchens

Annie Elizabeth Butner Hutchens, 87, of Lewisville NC went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, April 4, 2019. Mrs. Hutchens was born October 10, 1931 to the late Leon Butner and Willie Stimpson Butner. She was a member of Woodland Baptist Church in Rural Hall, NC. Mrs. Hutchens was a homemaker the majority of her life. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. William L. Hutchens; brother, Tommy Butner and sister, Frances Lowman. Mrs. Hutchens is survived by her three children, Kathy Hall and husband Gary; Christine Flynn and husband Jeff; William Loyd Hutchens Jr. and wife Cindi; four grandchildren, Dawn Henderson, Laura (Brad) Dunaway, Jonathan and Megan Hutchens; four great grandchildren, Gage and Madison Dunaway, Kaylee and Eli Henderson. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Pastor Tim Gammons officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Committal will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory, Clemmons NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woodland Baptist Church Building Fund, 1175 Bethania Rural Hall Road, Rural Hall, NC, 27045 or WPIP Radio c/o Berean Baptist Church, 4135 Thomasville Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107, which she faithfully listened to as long as she was able. The family would like to thank Carillon Assisted Living in Clemmons, NC for the comfort and care for the past two years. Many friendships were developed during her stay there.
