Anthony "Tony" Gray Harris

Mr. Anthony ""Tony"" Gray Harris, 49, of Winston-Salem, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017.

Tony was born February 9, 1967 in Forsyth County and graduated from Parkland High School in 1985. He attended Forsyth Community College and Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Roosevelt. He loved to watch the Carolina TarHeels play basketball and football and was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins. Tony worked in the food and beverage industry for many years in the Winston-Salem area serving his many friends and customers. Tony was bravely waiting to get on the list for a liver transplant.

Tony is survived by his parents, Jack and Winnie Harris of Winston-Salem; brother, F. Scott Harris and wife Tasha and niece, Kealey Harris of Willow Spring, NC; as well as many cousins, close friends and his beloved dog, Samantha Joe.

A celebration of Tony's life will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 7 pm at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Don Mann officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial with military honors will take place Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11 am at Parklawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Forsyth County Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
