Wood Mrs. Arie Brewer Creasman Wood, 92, of Winston-Salem passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born September 11, 1920 in Wilkes County to Walter Dewitt and Grace Walker Brewer. Mrs. Wood was retired from Western Electric and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by E. W. Creasman and George H. Wood; two sons, George William (Billy) and Roland Wayne Wood, two stepdaughters, Vickie Corn and Ann Winters, a brother, Dewitt Brewer and a sister, Hazel Chapple. Surviving are two sons, Stephen Dewitt Wood and wife, Dianne of Lexington, Rodger Wood and wife, Linda of Clemmons; a stepson, William (Chris) Creasman of Las Vegas; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren 5 step great grandchildren, a sister, Frances Brewer Sealey of Thomasville and a daughter-in-law, Pat H. Wood. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Dr. Harold Fletcher and Rev. Ken Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
